Quo Vadis V Press Conference

The first Quo Vadis V Press Conference took place last Friday, the 15th of February, in the Polish Consulate General in Montreal and welcomed more than 75 guests.

For this special occasion, Janusz Ciszek, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Poland, sent a video message in which he explained the significance of the fifth Canadian edition of Quo Vadis as well as encouraged the authorities, local businesses, and the Polish community to help and support this initiative in order to ensure its success. He specified that it is important that members of the Polish-Canadian community “serve as an example for everyone else of how to be a model citizen of the country while maintaining strong and intense ties with Poland, their homeland and the land of their parents or grandparents.” This year’s conference theme Polonia: Connecting Cultures perfectly reflects the Deputy Foreign Minister’s message.

Tamara Sztorc, the president, had the chance to present the Quo Vadis V Montreal conference to Polish and Canadian media, and to other important guests, including the Consul Generals of the Republic of Poland from Montreal and Toronto, Andrzej Szydlo and Grzegorz Morawski, respectively, the trade commissioner Wlodimierz Leszczynski, as well as Julius Grey, one of the most known lawyers from Montreal. Representatives of academia, business, and art, active members of the Polish community in Montreal, and Toronto PISK (Polish Students’ Initiative in Canada) members attended the press conference.

The Quo Vadis Executive committee was glad to inform the public about the Quo Vadis V Montreal initiative and hopes to have sparked interest.
